Why We Built This Site
California uses separate systems for agency reports, jail bookings, court cases, state criminal-history summaries, prison custody, and registry information. BCSO Records and Corrections maintain sheriff-side material, Butte Superior Court keeps filed charges and dispositions, and California DOJ controls the restricted statewide repository. CDCR and the California Megan's Law Website add still other sources. The site brings their contact information, fees, request steps, and official searches into one local reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: how to search and understand Butte County court cases
- Official-check directions: California DOJ personal record review and Live Scan channels
- Agency contacts: the sheriff, Superior Court, and statewide offices holding Butte County records
- Record-relief context: California dismissal, automatic-relief, and sealing routes
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a California court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Its limits include:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing agency, such as BCSO, Butte Superior Court, or California DOJ, can provide an official record. This site can identify a route, but it cannot issue the document.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. They control their services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports the site. Those providers' own terms and policies govern their tools.
